Private members' business day was interrupted to consider the Appropriation Bills and the Ageing and Disability Commissioner Bill, which took several hours. We returned to private members business afterwards, finishing at 12.34 am.
We passed two bills & appointed 8 Joint Committees. Contributions to the Address-in-Reply to The Governor's speech continued. We insisted on our amendments to the Ageing & Disability Commissioner Bill, disagreed with by the Assembly.
On Tuesday, the Budget papers 2019-2020 were tabled in the House and consideration of amendments to the Ageing and Disability Commissioner Bill 2019 continued.
On Wednesday the House agreed to the Budget Estimates 2019-2020 timetable for initial hearings and considered the Ageing and Disability Commissioner Bill 2019 in committee of the whole. Ms Jackson also gave her first speech.

The Council wraps up business for the year and the 56th parliament with a surprising twist in the fate of the last government bill dealt with by the House. Another departing member bids farewell while a former member is fondly remembered and seasonal felicitations are conveyed to all.
